Our Maritime hospitality, culture and heritage are celebrated all year long through our many festivals and events. In June, the Shelburne County Lobster Festival gets under full swing. July is full of events featuring the annual Founders’ Days , Harmony Bazaar a festival of Women and Song, plus Canada Day celebrations in Clark’s Harbour and Lockeport, regattas and sail races, the waterfront Parade of Lights. In August, Shelburne County is host to two exhibitions plus the popular Lockeport Sea Derby, and the Shag Harbour UFO Incident Festival, plus our two new festivals, the Shelburne Kayak Festival and the Pirate Rendezvous.
September features our very own Whirligig Festival and Lights along the Shore, which celebrates our many Lighthouses along the South Shore. All year long watch our events page for community breakfasts and suppers, plus live music & theatre at the Osprey Arts Centre all year long.
