May 14  - Police Week Open House – Shelburne RCMP Detachment & River Hills Golf & Country Club, 3:00-6:00 p.m. Hot dogs, BBQ. Police car for kids to tour.

May 14 – Special Speaker – Shelburne Baptist Church, 7:00 p.m. Speaker: Jorge Sedaka, president of Chosen People Ministries (Canada). Topic: “The Feasts of Israel”. Everyone welcome. Information: 875-2776.

May 15 – Messy Church – Christ Anglican Church Hall, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Church for the kid in you. Theme: Saint Valentine. Supper crafts, stories, music and worship.

May 16 Friday Youth Night – Church Hall, 29 Ann Street, Shelburne. Ages 5 and up. 6:00-8:00 p.m.

May 16 – Nashville Dreamin’ –  Woods Harbour Community Hall, 7:00 p.m. Good old fashioned Country & Western Music. Lots of your favourites – our version. Proceeds for Shag Harbour Incident Society. Canteen. 50/50 draw.

May 17  - Spaghetti Supper – Osborne Church Hall, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Variety of pasta dishes and desserts.

May 17 – Flea Market & Food Sale – Port Saxon Leisure Hour Club, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Call 637-2766 for tables.

May 17 – Variety Show –  Birchtown Hall, 7:00 p.m. Men’s fashion show, skits, music. Free will offering. Lobster burgers. Procceeds for Grace Baptist Church.

May 17  - Giant Plant Sale – Shelburne Community Centre, King Street, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Huge selection of perennials, daylilies, iris at very low prices. All plants from Garden Club members’ gardens. Our only fund raiser for the year. Information: 875-2287 Robert or 875-3902 Greg.
